GlamBot Rental in Los Angeles: What It Is and How to Plan for One
A GlamBot rental gives a Los Angeles event the shot everyone recognizes from award season: a camera sweeping past a guest at high speed, turning a few seconds in front of the lens into a glossy, slow motion, film-lit clip. Coachella Party operates a GlamBot with a full crew. We are based in Palm Desert and work Greater Los Angeles regularly, including a run on the Paramount Studios backlot in Hollywood, so this guide covers both what the format really is and the practical logistics an LA planner should confirm before booking one, from us or from anyone else.
The GlamBot has its own site with more examples and a quote form at glambot.la.

What a GlamBot actually is
The hardware is a cinema style camera on a fast moving arm. As the arm sweeps past the subject, the camera records at a high frame rate, and the played back footage becomes dramatic slow motion with a sense of movement that phone video cannot produce. Guests recognize the look instantly, which is why the line forms on its own.
The hardware is only half the product. The clips people actually share are the ones where the guest was directed: told when to flip the jacket over the shoulder, when to spin, when to look past the lens. That is why our GlamBot package is staffed like a small film shoot, with an on-site director who coaches every guest through their moment and an on-site host who manages the line and keeps the energy up. When you compare quotes from any vendor, compare crews before you compare cameras. An arm without a director produces flat clips.
Why premieres, galas, and brand activations book it
Movie premieres and screenings use the GlamBot because it extends the red carpet moment to every guest, not just the talent. At a gala, guests have already dressed for the occasion, and the format rewards that effort with footage that looks professionally produced. For brand activations, every clip carries a custom branded overlay, so the content guests post afterward is campaign content, distributed voluntarily by the people who enjoyed the event most.
Los Angeles is the natural home for the format. Our own calendar includes a client activation on the Paramount Studios backlot, where a slow motion cinema camera felt right at home on a lot built for cameras. We have also worked studio and premiere settings with the rest of our fleet, from a wrapped Airstream at Amazon Studios during LA Screenings to a vintage trailer at a movie premiere at Hollywood Forever.
What a complete package should include
Packages differ between vendors, but our own three hour GlamBot rental is a reasonable checklist for what complete looks like:
- An on-site director and an on-site host
- Unlimited videos during the rental, with custom branded overlays
- Instant delivery by text, email, or a shared folder, plus online hosting of the videos afterward
- A red carpet (ours is 4 by 12 feet) with a six piece stanchion set
- An LED video lighting set, because lighting is what separates cinematic from dim
- Delivery, setup, and takedown handled by the crew
Extra hours can usually be added, which matters for premieres where the arrivals window and the after party are separated by the screening itself. Ask how idle time between the two is billed.
Space, power, and placement
Plan the footprint honestly. Between the carpet, the stanchions, the swing of the arm, and a queue, the GlamBot wants a generous cleared area with safe clearance around the moving equipment; a cramped corner defeats it. Placement near an entrance works well because guests engage while arriving, energy is highest, and the backdrop of your choice frames every clip.
Power needs are modest but real: the arm, the camera, and the LED lighting all need a reliable circuit. For placements far from an outlet, we carry battery power. Indoors, confirm ceiling height and any venue rules about moving equipment; outdoors, plan lighting for after dark, which is when the format shines anyway.
What it costs
At typical market rates, robotic cinematic video setups with full crews cost several times what a premium photo booth costs, reflecting the staffing and equipment involved: figures run from the low thousands into five figures depending on hours, crew size, and customization. Those are market ranges, not a quote; any serious vendor prices to the specific date, venue, and program.

Booking a GlamBot in Los Angeles
Coachella Party is based in Palm Desert and serves Greater Los Angeles and San Diego as a matter of routine, so studio lots, hotel ballrooms, and rooftop venues around LA are familiar territory. (And despite the name, we are not affiliated with the music festival; the name refers to the Coachella Valley, our home.) If you are weighing a GlamBot against other formats for a premiere, gala, or launch, tell us about the event and we will give you a straight answer about whether the format fits and what it needs to succeed at your venue.
