Alaska Airlines at Acrisure Arena

Alaska Airlines brought a brand activation to Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on April 12, 2025, on a Coachella Valley Firebirds game day, and Coachella Party built the photo experience that sat inside it, with our Curve Pro booths.

Crew laying a blue activation mat on the arena concourse

An arena concourse is an unforgiving place to build. It is open to the sky, it is hard surface in every direction, and the space you are given is measured out rather than roomy. The day starts by laying the footprint: the activation mat goes down on bare concrete, and everything else is set from it.

Once the footprint is down, the shape of the thing appears. Sightlines matter here as much as square footage, because guests arriving for a game are moving with purpose and an activation only works if it reads instantly from the walk-up.

Large Alaska Airlines plane installation with tail livery

The centrepiece was an Alaska Airlines plane installation, tail livery and all. It gives the whole footprint its anchor, and it gives every photo taken there an unmistakable backdrop.

Our Curve Pro went in beside it, close enough that the plane lands in frame without anyone having to be told where to stand. That is the part worth getting right on a brand activation: the branding should be in the photograph, not on a sign next to it.

Booths in position, stanchions set, queue line established before the doors opened. A game-day crowd arrives all at once, so everything is ready well ahead of the first guest.

Coachella Valley Firebirds logo signage on the concourse

Firebirds signage carried the co-branding across the concourse, tying the airline to the team whose building it is.

A jersey cutout gave arriving guests a second way in, and gave the activation a takeaway that reads as both Alaska and Firebirds at a glance.

Then the part that matters: guests using it. The plane livery fills the frame behind them, which is exactly what a brand pays for when it builds something this size.

Everyone left with a photo and a swag bag, and Alaska got a set of images with their aircraft in every one of them.
